Baerbock expressed hope that under the new administration of Iran they will be able to expand bilateral relations
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock reaffirmed their determination to resolve current issues through dialogue and political consultations.
During the telephone conversation, the foreign ministers of Iran and Germany exchanged ideas on urgent issues on the bilateral, regional, and international agenda.
Baerbock congratulated Araghchi on his appointment as Iran's foreign minister and expressed hope that the two countries could expand their bilateral relations by eliminating existing problems and obstacles under the new Iranian administration.
Aragchi thanked his German colleague for the congratulation. "Mutual respect and emphasis on common interests are necessary for maintaining and strengthening relations in various fields," he emphasized.
