The Egyptian president will visit Turkey

Turkish media reported that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will visit Turkey in September.

It is noted that the main topic of the visit will be the situation in the Gaza Strip; bilateral relations will also be discussed, and a high-level strategic cooperation council meeting will take place.

To recall, Erdogan's first visit to Egypt in the last 12 years occurred on February 14. Relations between the two countries deteriorated sharply in 2013 after the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, president of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood party, whom Turkey viewed as an ally.
