Israel accepts the new US proposal for the settlement of the Gaza Strip

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who is visiting Israel, announced that the Israeli side had accepted the new proposal of the USA, which aims to reduce the differences with the radical Palestinian movement Hamas regarding the cease-fire in the Gaza Strip.

"In a very productive meeting today with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he confirmed that Israel accepts and supports the proposal to overcome [the differences]. Now Hamas must do the same," Blinken said.

The Secretary of State added that the USA, Egypt, and Qatar should meet to complete the mutual understanding process with the help of mediators. "There are still difficult issues that require tough decisions from leaders. Everything depends on them," he said.
