Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin's role in reaching agreements on settling the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2020 was vital.
"The result was the tripartite agreement of November 9-10, 2020," he said in a conversation with "Izvestia," adding that many meetings were held with the participation of the Russian side within the framework of the 2020-22 post-conflict settlement.
Bayramov also noted that Azerbaijan aims to normalize relations with Armenia, but "all unreasonable demands" dictated by the Armenian side for decades should be eliminated. "It should not happen at the level of statements, but reflected in legally justified ways."
Bayramov also emphasized that the Russian platform had always been acceptable to them and accused Armenia of not agreeing.
