More than 44 million tons of grain were exported through the Ukrainian Sea corridor

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at the government meeting that during the one-year operation of the Ukrainian sea corridor, more than 2,300 ships entered Ukraine's Black Sea ports, and more than 44 million tons of grain were exported from the country.

After Russia's withdrawal from the grain deal in the summer of last year, Ukraine organized its sea corridor for commercial ships.

"From the very first day of its invasion, Russia has done everything to block Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea. Thus, the enemy was putting pressure on the economy of Ukraine and, at the same time, on our allies, creating threats to global food security. That is why one of the biggest victories for Ukraine last year was the opening of the Ukrainian sea corridor," Shmyhal said.
