The first military command post was established in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, which is under the control of Ukrainian troops.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Sirsky, during a report at the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the video of which was posted on Thursday, August 15, by President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Telegram channel.
"We are moving forward. A military command office has been established in the Kursk region, which should ensure order and all the needs of the local population," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote in his Telegram. Major General Eduard Moskalev of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was appointed the head of the command post.
