Ukraine creates a "security zone" in Kursk

The armed forces of Ukraine are creating a "security zone" in the occupied territories of Kursk. Humanitarian corridors will be opened for civilians remaining there. Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said about it. According to him, the "security zone" is being created to protect the border regions of Ukraine, first of all, the Sumy region.

Vereshchuk noted that humanitarian corridors to both Russia and Ukraine are planned for peaceful Russians remaining in the "security zone." According to Vereshchuk, the Ukrainian authorities have created a hotline for residents of the Kursk region who need humanitarian aid or want to evacuate to Ukraine.
