The federal state of emergency has been introduced in the Belgorod region
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that a federal state of emergency was introduced due to shelling in the Belgorod region.
"As a result of attacks carried out by Ukrainian armed groups in Belgorod region, residential houses, and infrastructure facilities were damaged, there were victims and victims. I propose to call the emergency in the territory of Belgorod region federal in nature and to set a federal level of response," said Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
On August 14, the governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that a state of emergency had been established at the regional level.
On August 9, a federal state of emergency was also established in the Kursk Region.
