The UK Prime Minister called on Iran to desist from attacking Israel

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, telephoned the President of Iran, Massoud Pezeshkian, asking him to refrain from attacking Israel. Starmer told Pezeshkyan that war in the Middle East is not in anyone's interest. He also added that he is deeply concerned about the situation in the Middle East and called on all parties to ease tensions to avoid further regional confrontation.

In response to Starmer, "Pezeshkyan considered punishing the aggressor as a legal right of states and a means of stopping crimes and aggressive policies," the Iranian president's press service said.
