Google has utterly disabled monetization for YouTube bloggers in Russia. Now, the owners of Russian channels will not be able to receive income, even if their videos are viewed from abroad.
In 2022, Google partially turned off the monetization of YouTube users from Russia. Ads stopped appearing on their videos, causing the bloggers to lose most of their income but still get paid for views from overseas.
