Lebanon called on Israel to be held accountable

Lebanese authorities call on the international community to take an influential position to stop Israeli attacks on civilians in the Gaza Strip and ease tensions in the region, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

In the morning, the Palestinian emergency services reported that an Israeli plane fired three rockets at the Al-Tabayin school in Gaza, where refugees gathered for morning prayers. As a result, according to preliminary data, 100 people were killed. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced an attack on a school in the Gaza Strip, claiming that Hamas militants are there.

"Considering Israel's actions in the current crisis, which lead to escalation, the Foreign Ministry calls on the international community and interested countries to adopt a united and effective position, first of all, to ensure the security of the Palestinian people," the statement said.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the attack on the Al-Tabein school and, among other things, calls for the activation of the diplomatic path to resolve the conflict through real action.
