Ukraine has sent one of the most potent and fastest brigades to the Kursk region
One of the most well-equipped and fastest Ukrainian brigades, the 80th Air Assault Brigade, joined the battles in the Kursk region. The 80th Air Assault Brigade is equipped to launch brutal and quick attacks. Ukraine's current operation is different from the previous ones. It includes at least three brigades of up to 2,000 troops each: the 22nd and 88th Mechanized Brigades and the 80th Air Assault Brigade.
Forbes emphasizes that the fact that the Ukrainians are investing significant resources in this invasion does not guarantee its success. After all, the contingent of the Russian Northern Forces, which has about 48,000 soldiers, can act against 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers. But the Northern Group is now stuck in Vovchansk, a Russian border town 150 km southeast of Sujai that is the center of the Ukrainian incursion. Thus, Forbes notes, it is evident that the Ukrainian brigades deliberately crossed the border in the place where the group of Northern forces was the smallest.
