The US State Department commented on the situation of Armenians kept in Baku prison

Vendant Patel, spokesperson for the US State Department, answered the journalist's question, commenting on the situation of the Armenian prisoners held in Baku and the steps taken by the US State Department to release them.
"On this topic, in the context of the broader situation in the South Caucasus, the Secretary of State and the department continue to be deeply involved. I can't say more about this process. When it comes to detainees, we have been clear and consistent that any country must treat all detainees humanely, with dignity and by international law, and must respect the human rights of detainees, and that is true in this case as well," Patel said.
