Enrique Mora, deputy head of the European Union's foreign policy service, coordinates the negotiations on Iran's nuclear program. In Tehran, he met with former Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who played an active role in negotiating the 2015 nuclear agreement.
Aragchi is seen as one of the leading candidates for the post of Iran's foreign minister. "Tasnim" agency also informed that Aragchi is the leading contender for that position.
