"Armenia is almost completely economically and energy-dependent on Russia." O'Brien

During the Senate hearings, O'Brien, the US State Department's Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, spoke about Armenia-USA, Armenia-Azerbaijan, and Armenia-Russia relations.

"Armenia is a topic on which we spend considerable time. We met Prime Minister Pashinyan with Secretary of State Blinken and President Von der Leyen, establishing a platform to help Armenia limit its dependence on Russia. Let's create an opportunity for them to take a brave step under the leadership of Pashinyan, which is secession from Russia," said O'Brien.
