The US has said it is in "continuing talks" with Israel and Lebanon after Israel and the US accused Hezbollah of shelling a soccer field in the Golan Heights a day earlier. It killed at least 12 children and teenagers, raising concerns about the possibility of a broader conflict in the region.
US National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said on Sunday that Hezbollah fired the missile and was "launched from an area they control." The Israeli military confirmed that it had carried out airstrikes against Hezbollah targets "deep inside Lebanese territory."
