US Vice President Kamala Harris, now considered the most likely candidate for the presidential election from the Democratic Party, will announce the name of her running mate in early August, CNN reports.
It is expected that the name of the possible vice-presidential candidate will be known within the next two weeks.
The US presidential elections will take place on November 5.
