"We want Armenia to diversify relations." Yuri Kim

Kim, in particular, said: "Armenia is looking for alternatives. This does not mean that his relations with Russia are deteriorating. We are very eager to provide as much support as possible to Armenia's efforts to diversify its relations, strengthen its security economic prosperity, and sign a peace treaty with its adversary." While Washington is trying to build ties between Baku and Yerevan to sway them to a peace deal, it is also considering "other options," Kim said, referring to USAID aid to Armenia.

"In the current financial year, it is about 77 million, almost double what was just two years ago. Those funds will be directed to Armenia's stability in such issues as climate and food security and lifting Armenia out of isolation," said Kim.
