"It is important that only the Georgian people decide the future of their country," US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said at the briefing.
"We have repeatedly seen not only Russian attempts but also direct interference in elections, both in the region and around the world. We are always vigilant and follow it. As you have heard from us many times, it is important that only the Georgian people decide the future of their country," said Miller.
