Josep Borrell, the EU's highest representative for foreign policy and security issues, mentioned the EU's 10 million euros in military support and the start of the visa liberalization dialogue.
Borell, in particular, said: "First, let me start with two critical decisions that will strengthen our partnership with Armenia. First, we accepted the first support measure for Armenia within the framework of the European Peace Fund, worth about 10 million euros. Secondly, we gave the green light to start a visa liberalization dialogue with Armenia.
Armenia long awaited these two decisions. I am thrilled that they can be finally agreed upon before the summer break because you know what a tense situation it is in the Caucasus. It will strengthen our partnership with Armenia."
