Greece may transfer F16 fighter jets to Ukraine

Greece will decommission 32 old F-16 Block-30 fighters and transfer them to Ukraine. The Greek Air Force plans to upgrade 82 F-16 fighters to the Block-70 and buy 24 fourth-generation Rafale fighters from France.

A US congressional committee also authorized Greece to purchase up to 40 fifth-generation F-35 multirole fighter jets. According to the sources, Greece believes it better to transport these planes back to the USA, where they will be upgraded and transferred to Kyiv.
