However, intelligence officials have found no connection between Saturday's botched assassination attempt on Trump by 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks and any foreign connection.
The National Security Council contacted the Secret Service, which, in June, increased resources and assets for Trump's defense. These included counterattack personnel, sniper teams, drones, and robot dogs.
