The US plans to deploy 48 F-35A fighter jets to Japan

The US plans to deploy 48 fifth-generation F-35A fighter jets in Japan in the next few years, Chief Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi informed the journalists during the press conference.

According to him, 48 ​​F-35A and 36 F-16 fighters will be deployed at the Japanese Air Force's Misawa base in the next few years. They will replace the F-16 and F-15 stationed in Misawa, respectively.
