Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will visit Washington and meet with his American counterpart, Lloyd Austin. Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh announced this during the briefing.
At a July 1 briefing, the press secretary said that Omerov would arrive at the Pentagon the next day and meet with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
"Secretary Austin and Secretary Umerov will discuss bilateral security cooperation, regional security issues, and ways to strengthen the defense partnership between the United States and Ukraine," said Sabrina Singh. Before that, Rustem Umerov met with the head of the Pentagon in Brussels during the contact group meeting on Ukraine's defense issues in the format of "Ramstein."
