Lebanese officials offered journalists and ambassadors a tour of Beirut-Rafik Harir International Airport in an attempt to refute claims by the British newspaper "The Telegraph" that the airport acts as a weapons depot for the Hezbollah terrorist group.
Abdallah Bou Habib, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon, Ali Hamieh, Minister of Public Works and Transport, Walid Nassar, Minister of Tourism, and Ziad Makari, Minister of Information, participated in the tours.
Habib reportedly claimed that "the airport is safe and that the news is part of Israel's attempts to justify its attacks on Lebanon."
