Ukraine will receive 1.5 billion euros of income from Russian assets

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced on Tuesday, June 11, at a conference dedicated to Ukraine's recovery in Berlin, that Ukraine will be able to receive about 1.5 billion euros in income from Russian assets frozen in the EU.

Most of these funds will be used for defense, and 10% of that amount will be used for the reconstruction of Ukraine, the head of the European Commission explained. He also added that an additional 1.9 billion euros will be transferred to Kyiv this month from the European Fund for Support of Ukraine.
