Sullivan and Kilic discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace negotiations

 

Jake Sullivan, the adviser on national security issues of the White House, had a telephone conversation with the adviser on foreign policy and security of the Turkish president, Ambassador Akif Çagatay Kılıç.

"National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke today with Ambassador Akif Kagatai Kılıç, Chief Foreign Policy and Security Adviser to the President of Turkey, and emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire with Hamas so that it accepts Israel's offer to establish an immediate ceasefire as part of the hostage release deal. They also discussed bilateral issues, including the fight against terrorism, defense cooperation and the maintenance of sanctions. They emphasized the importance of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan and welcomed the improvement of relations between Turkey and Greece," the White House said in a statement.
