The defense chiefs of the United States and China will hold an exclusive one-on-one meeting on Friday as the two powers grapple with a complex security situation in the Asia-Pacific region and several differences between them.
It is the first face-to-face meeting between US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and China's Minister of National Defense, Admiral Don Yan.
