The German government is cautiously denying its suspicions regarding the authorization of weapons supplied to Ukraine to attack military facilities on Russian territory.
"Politico" wrote that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz had stated that Ukraine could use German-supplied weapons "within international law," which would allow them to be used against an aggressor such as Russia. Scholz's press secretary, Steffen Hebstreit, told reporters, "Ukraine's defensive actions are not limited to its own territory and may extend to the aggressor's territory as well." At the same time, he stressed that he could not disclose the exact agreements with Kyiv regarding the use of German weapons, as they are "secret."
