According to the joint statement of Josep Borrell, the head of EU diplomacy, and the European Commission, the European Union deeply regrets that the Parliament of Georgia bypassed the veto of the law "on the transparency of foreign influence."
"This law contradicts the fundamental principles and values of the EU and will negatively affect Georgia's path to the EU. The EU and its member states are considering all options to respond to these developments," the statement said.
