US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken congratulated Azerbaijan on Independence Day.
"On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on Independence Day. We value our relationship with Azerbaijan, which has formed a partnership over the past 32 years based on mutual interests in security and energy cooperation. We appreciate the opportunity to deepen our cooperation in these areas and on increasingly critical global issues such as climate change and the green energy transition.
Our cooperation will continue to go hand in hand with the democratic development of Azerbaijan and the commitment to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms by the constitution of Azerbaijan. The United States welcomes the work to establish a lasting and dignified peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We are fully committed to achieving this goal, expanding connectivity, and bringing economic benefits to the entire region.
