The helicopter carrying the Iranian president, Raisi, landed hard in the city of Julfa near the border with Azerbaijan. According to the IRNA agency, the reason was bad weather conditions.
The country's foreign minister, Hossein Amirabdollahyan, was also in the helicopter.
Rescuers are trying to reach the scene.
It should be noted that Raisi was returning from Azerbaijan, where he met with President Ilham Aliyev.
