The head of the IAEA will visit Russia

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, plans to visit Russia, probably Kaliningrad, in May to discuss technical issues surrounding the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). He informed RIA Novosti about this in an interview.

"Maybe it will be closer to the end of the month, and then hopefully, I will be able to have another round of technical talks," Grossi said when asked about plans to visit Russia. He noted that it is possible to visit Kaliningrad.

He also stated that he intends to discuss the security situation at the nuclear power plant with the Russian side and issues related to security systems, which refer to the fuel and the nuclear power plant itself.

"Several topics will be discussed, all of which are technical," Grossi explained.
