Lawmakers from the US, EU, and 14 European countries are vowing to prosecute Georgian government officials and lawmakers involved in the passage of the Foreign Agents Act and brutal attacks on peaceful protesters.
The relevant statement was initiated by Ben Cardin, the American Democratic Senator and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. It was also signed by the presidents of the foreign relations committees of the EU parliaments: Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Ukraine, and Great Britain.
