India is aware of the US statements about the potential risk of sanctions due to the agreement with Iran on the operation of the Chabahar port. It believes that Washington should not take a narrow-minded approach to this issue.
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar announced this, commenting on the US State Department's statement that the agreement between New Delhi and Tehran on the joint operation of the Chabahar port does not exempt them from US sanctions.
