The EU ambassadors discussed the suspension of the "free visa regime" for Georgia

On May 8, the ambassadors of the EU member states in Brussels once again discussed the situation in Georgia and, among other things, the possible measures that can be taken in the event of the approval of the law on foreign agents and the bill on transparency of foreign influence.

According to Rikard Jozwiak, the European editor of "Azatutyun" radio station, the issue of suspending the free visa regime was also discussed. "The suspension of the liberalization of the visa regime cannot be ruled out," "all measures are being considered," wrote the editor of Azatutyun.

It should be noted that since April 2017, the EU has established visa-free visits to the Schengen zone for Georgian citizens.
