"The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is the subject of our concern. The fundamental solution will be the creation of an independent Palestinian state," Chinese President Xi Jinping wrote in the column of the French newspaper Le Figaro on the background of his visit to France. Xi noted that history shows that "permanent instability" is mainly related to the non-fulfillment of UN resolutions, as well as "the erosion of the two-state principle and the deviation from the peace process in the Middle East."
The column was published during the President of the People's Republic of China's visit to France. In his opinion, the countries should strengthen cooperation to contribute to the restoration of peace in the Middle East.
