The Israeli army is urging Palestinians to evacuate the eastern Rafah area in the Gaza Strip ahead of a planned ground operation. The Israeli military offers civilians to move to the extended humanitarian zone in the Al-Mawasi and Khan-Youniseh districts.
The Israeli army has started distributing leaflets in East Rafah. The military also calls residents and sends them an SMS with instructions on how to reach the humanitarian zone. The evacuation order so far only applies to some eastern areas of Rafah, not the entire southern Gaza city.
