At the event titled "European Team Demining Initiative," Gert Jan Koopman, Director General for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy of the European Commission, announced that the EU will finance Azerbaijan's demining program.
He noted that 10 EU member states contribute to the initiative announced today, and the number of countries joining it will increase. Koopman added that the initiative's budget will be 8 million euros.
