Aliyev and Kosachev discussed the development prospects of the North-South Corridor

On May 2, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Kosachov, and the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration, and Relations with Compatriots, Leonid Kalashnikov.
Aliyev noted that Russia plays a fundamental role in security issues in the region and beyond. Highlighting the progressive development of bilateral relations, Aliyev assessed it as an important factor in the development of the South Caucasus region and wider geography. At the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the development prospects of the North-South transport corridor.
