Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly wrote on her X page:
"More than 1.5 million Armenians were killed in 1915. Today, we continue to honor the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and reflect on the pain that many still experience.
We must ensure that their names and stories are never forgotten. We remember and demand."
