"The doors of opportunity are not always open." Erdogan to Pashinyan

Erdogan touched on Armenian-Turkish relations in a briefing with journalists.

Question. - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently did not dare to use the phrase "genocide" when talking about the events of 1915. He said, "Big disaster". It was interpreted as a reflection of the electorate's demand for regulation in the region. The same Pashinyan also criticized the inclusion of Mount Ararat in the state coat of arms, declaring that it is located on the territory of Turkey. What position do you think Armenia has adopted? If Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the Caucasus still favor peace in these big development projects, can Armenia be involved?

Answer: - A new order is being established in the region. It's time to let go of unwarranted memories. It is always better to act according to the realities of the times than to make up stories that have no connection to reality. Now, Pashinyan also understands this. First, historians deal with everything that happens in the historical process. We have been very honest about it from the beginning and said we can open our archives and realistically create a new road map. I hope Armenia will choose the path to get rid of the darkness in which the enslaved Diaspora has found itself and make a new beginning for the bright day of tomorrow. Doors of opportunity stay open for a while. It is necessary to estimate reasonably how many are open. Not only the Diaspora but also many provocateurs seek to influence Armenia in this process. We know about that. From time to time, we also issued warnings. Armenia will choose the right path, and a new era will begin.
