US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director William Burns issued a stark warning to US lawmakers on Thursday, "If you don't approve aid to Ukraine now, Kyiv could lose the war by the end of the year."
Speaking at an event at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, Burns urged lawmakers to pass an amendment allowing billions of dollars to be earmarked for Ukraine's military needs. "Given that military aid would provide both a practical and a psychological boost, Ukrainians are fully capable of holding out until 2024 and dispelling Putin's arrogance that time is on his side," he said.
