The European Union considers that the bill on foreign agents in Georgia does not correspond to the EU's basic norms and values and calls on Tbilisi not to accept it. This was stated in the statement of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, published on the European External Relations Service's website.
"The EU calls on Georgia to refrain from adopting such laws that could jeopardize Georgia's path to the EU, supported by the vast majority of Georgian citizens," Borell said.
