The conflict between Israel and Iran has brought the Middle East to the "edge of the abyss." Josep Borell, representative of the European Union's foreign policy and security affairs, expressed a similar opinion.
"This situation has brought the entire region to the edge of the abyss; we must stop climbing up the ladder of escalation," he said at the press conference held after the video conference of the heads of the foreign relations departments of the 27 community countries.
