"European countries should ensure their security." Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, expressed a similar opinion in an article published on the EU External Relations Service website.
"We must take strategic responsibility for Europe's ability to defend itself while building a strong foothold within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)," he noted.
