Iran may strike Israel in the next 24-48 hours

A US official was quoted as saying that Israel was preparing for a direct attack by Iran in the next 24-48 hours, "possibly on Israeli soil," citing US intelligence reports. A report by The Wall Street Journal quoted an unnamed American source as saying that Israel is preparing for a possible strike on either the south or the north of Israel.

It is also noted that a source close to the Iranian regime claims that Tehran has not yet made a final decision. Iran has threatened to retaliate against Israel after an April 1 airstrike on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus, killed several IRGC commanders, including two generals.
