Turkey has proposed a new draft peace treaty to Russia and Ukraine that would freeze the war on the current front line. "Novaya Gazeta Europa" writes about it, referring to a source familiar with the document.
The program includes:
- The mutual commitment of the USA and Russia not to use nuclear weapons under any circumstances, as well as the resumption of the Treaty on the Limitation of Strategic Arms, with the impossibility of unilateral withdrawal from it in the future.
-
Compulsory holding of referendums on the state's foreign policy in Ukraine in 2040.
-
Conducting referendums under international supervision in all Ukrainian territories that will be under Russian occupation at the time of the war's cooling-off.
-
According to the document, Ukraine must guarantee its non-aligned status until 2040.
-
Russia will withdraw its objections to Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Exchange of prisoners on the principle of "all for all."
This is at least the 9th project with this style and logic.
