Moldovan authorities plan to start negotiations on EU membership by the end of June 2024. Daniela Morari, the republic's ambassador to the EU, informed the information portal Newsmaker about this.
She specified that the republic's government plans to start the process during the Belgian presidency in the EU Council. According to him, the republic is now in the process of implementing the decisions of the EU Council, which were issued in December 2023, and evaluating Moldovan legislation by EU laws.
