Boeing is ending production of its F/A-18 Super Hornet multirole fighter by 2027. The company received the last order from the US Navy on March 19. They requested 17 F/A-18s worth $1.3 billion. "Bulgarian Military" writes that the reason is the lack of new orders. If it were not for the US Navy, the last planes would be released in 2025.
"Boeing's" vice president for combat aircraft, Mark Sears, announced that a change in the direction of production is already on the horizon.
